You start as a complete beginner and we take you through 8 weeks intensive training to get you ready for your first fight.
Boxing training is a fantastic way to get fit, tone up and feel great. Our training will get you in the best shape of your life.
Get that wonderful sense of achievement knowing that all your hard work has helped raise thousands for worthwhile causes.
Our Training is aimed at Male and Female beginners; you will receive 8 weeks of free training (worth £300) at our boxing gym with experienced boxing coaches.
This will get you extremely fit and teach you the techniques you will need for your fight. These training regimes will ensure you are in the fittest condition of your life and feeling great!
At the end of the 8 weeks training you will be fairly matched based on weight, fitness, ability & age with an opponent from the group you have trained with to ensure a fair competitive bout.
You will be required to sell tickets to the event. All ticket money goes to cover the cost of running the event and putting you through the training.

All Boxers are to have a medical before and after they box.
You must be aged 18 or over to compete
All boxers train together to ensure fairly matched bouts
Bouts contested over 3 rounds of 2 minutes with 1-minute intervals
F.I.T. Club provide 16oz gloves to be worn on fight night.
Full F.I.T. Club headgear to be worn.
Groin protection compulsory for males, optional for females.

Three standing eight counts in a round will result in referee stopping contest
The referee can stop the bout at any stage if in their independent opinion, the safety of either boxer is compromised.
What does the training involve?
During your 8 week training our instructors will take you through stance, punching, movement and defensive techniques to help improve your skill level. You will be paired with someone of similar height and weight to begin developing those techniques further in a slow and controlled manner. Sparring usually comes towards the end of each class, where you will step through the ropes and try out the skills you have developed. Sparring is closely monitored by our instructors to avoid injury.
Can women join?
Ofcourse! We encourage everyone that wishes to develop their skills, get fit and have a go, to sign up.
What kit do I have to buy?
During your training you will need 16oz Boxing Gloves, Hand Wraps, Gum Shield and Head Guard. All kit needed is available from our club shop at a discount for Charity Boxers. On the night, F.I.T. Club will provide Head Guards, Gloves and Groin Protectors for the fight.
What will be expected of me?
You are expected to commit to 8 weeks of training, hitting at least one training class per week. You will also be expected to pay a £100 deposit which is returned after you sell 10 seated dinner tickets or 20 standing balcony tickets.
How will I be matched with an opponent?
You will train as a group for 8 weeks. At the end of the training you will be matched with somebody else from that group who is a similar weight, ability, fitness and age to you. We ensure the fairest matches possible at all of our events.
Can my company sponsor me?
If you have a company that would like to sponsor you they simply make a cheque payable to F.I.T. Club for £50.00. You will then be asked for their logo about two weeks before the event. Your chosen company will then have their logo printed in the event program and will be mentioned throughout the night.
What will the event be like?
The event will be well run and organised, with the medical provision the same as professional boxing. It will be a glamorous black tie event, and will make you feel like a superstar on the night. We hold our events at Newcastle Civic Centre which holds up to 600 guests.
Can I get extra training?
Yes. Additional training is available through our standard F.I.T. Club classes and Personal Training. Ask at the gym for more info.
